Sydney Airport Terminal 3

Sydney Airport Terminal 3 is the main hub for Qantas and QantasLink. It hosts regional and local flights within Australia.

Terminal 3 of Sydney Airport operates with only domestic Qantas flights.

Levels

Ground Floor 

Arrivals area.

Arrivals, hosting the Arrivals Hall, Baggage claim 1 to 5, information counter, car rental counters, restaurants and cafés, currency exchange, ATMs and access to railway network and a couple of valet parking.

First Floor

Departures area.

Departures, hosting the Departures Hall with gates 1 to 19. 

Second Floor 

It houses Qantas Lounge. 

Distance inside the terminal

Distances in that terminal can be huge. Please, check walking times here: 

Walking times from security check to gates: 

Time to gates 1 to 7: 1 to 3 minutes. 
Time to gates 8 to 15: 3/4 minutes. 
Time to gates 16 to 19: 3 to 5 minutes.

Transfer between terminals

Both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 are at a short walking distance (no longer than 7 minutes), while Terminal 1 is slightly far from them.

To transfer between the International Terminal to Domestic Terminals there are the following means of transport available:

Airport Link Train

Transfer between T1, T2 and T3. Opening hours: 05:30 am to 21:30 am, travel time 2 minutes. Fare is $8.60 AUD.

T-Bus

Shuttle buses between T1 and T2. The ride takes 10 minutes and works between 06:00 am and 08:50pm. It is complimentary.

Taxi

Transfer between T1, T2 and T3. Total ride time is 10 minutes. Fare is between 17.00 and 22.00 AUD. 

Attractions

As the Qantas Airlines terminal, on the upper level of Terminal 3, next to gate 13, there is the Heritage Museum, dedicated to Qantas and its more than 90 years of service, giving to passengers a retrospective of their evolution as an airline. 

Among the Heritage Collection, there is also an observing deck, where plane spotters and everyone who wish can get a general view of the airport’s apron.

Qantas Airways Domestic Business Lounge: Terminal 3. Service hours: From 05:00 am until last departure. Services: Showers, newspapers, TV, food, snacks, Wi-Fi, among others. 

Qantas Airways The Qantas Club: Terminal 3. Service hours: From 05:00 am until last departure. Services: Showers, Wi-Fi, premium food, snacks, drinks, Children’s Area, TV, among others. 

Qantas Airways Chairman’s Lounge: Terminal 3. Service hours: From first departure until last departure. Services: Wi-Fi, snacks, premium food, TV, Internet Terminals. 

Bar Roma: Terminal 3. Service hours: Snacks and flight monitors.
